Hi!!!! I'm Heather and that handsome guy next to me is my husband, Jeff! We have been married for a long time, which is really cool because he is my favorite person in the world!  We have two precious puppies, Ginger Belle and Amazing Gracie Nix.  My sweet husband grew up here and we have lived in Brownwood TX since 2005.

Before moving to Brownwood, I worked for Wal-Mart Portrait Studios and Kiddle Kandid's (both are now closed) in the DFW area.  I absolutely LOVED being a family and children photographer and in 2007 opened Heather Nix Photography and have served families in Brown County since!  I became a Certified Professional Photographer with Professional Photographers of America in 2016, and received my Adobe Certified Associate in with Adobe 2021.   I have been blessed to have been voted "Best in Brown County" in 2017, 2018, 2019 & 2020!  Along with running my little photo company...I teach Photography & Graphic Design at Brownwood High School!

As you can tell, I eat, sleep and breathe photography!  Portraits are my jam y'all!  I just love everything about it and you can usually find me with a camera somewhere!  I love the art and technology involved, coming up with a concept and having it turn out just right on camera...but most of all...I love the people I get to meet and know while photographing their families!
