Darian: Sneak Peek!
This session was so much fun! I got to use my new Denny’s Backdrop! Darian was a blast and climbed a tree for me! We also visited an 89 year old retired school teacher, who let us use his collection of restored tractors! He also showed us his collection of items from WWII and he was sweet enough to give me a chair for a prop! So here is a sneak peek of the new backdrop, and the new (to me) chair!
When to have your baby photographed!
I get this question a lot and the my answer used to be 3, 6, 9, and 12 months, but I have recently been thinking about it and that is not totally accurate. The first year is about Milestones. A baby changes so fast that first year, so I thought I would elaborate just a bit.
First Session-Ideally, I love to see my newborns within the first 7 days, but at the very least, by two weeks old. This is when they are the cuddliest, curliest and easiest to get to sleep. They will pretty much let us do anything to them while they sleep! Plus, they are never that small again! This is also a great time to do a sweet family portrait! Having a brand new family member is a very sweet milestone!

Second Session-This Milestone is one you don’t want to miss! That is the SMILE and trying to push up when on their tummies! Between 3-4 months, babies will smile when interacted with. They may do it earlier with parents, but when they start smiling at strangers, that is a good time to bring them in! Do this session during the babies happiest time of the day. You can get some amazing nekkid booty portraits to show off when they are 16!

Third Session-This is session is a great Milestone because it will capture you child sitting up! Woo hoo! This session can be between 6-8 months and it is so much fun! We can get creative putting them on sofa’s and chairs, or even outside! Try to get this session before they start crawling though, because once they are on the move, look out, they move fast!

Forth Session- This session Milestone is when they start pulling up on furniture, and are standing, but not walking yet! Usually between 9-11 months. So cute to see them growing from baby to little kid, they show so much personality and it happens so fast! Cuz didn’t we just do the newborn session?

Fifth Session-Happy 1st Birthday!!!! Wow, babies first year has gone by so quickly and they have changed so much! Of course, you have to get Birthday Portraits and if your baby has been to see me for all the other sessions, I promise you, I will cry! This session, your baby may be a bit shy with the photographer, but will warm up quickly! It is a fun session, where you can do just about anything!

Sweet brown eyed beauty!
This little sweetheart came to see me at the studio this evening and was soooooo cute! I just adore big brown eyes, and she has them! She also has two older, very handsome brothers, but you have to wait to see the whole session! For now, enjoy this sweet little girl!
Dazzling Diva’s coming your way!
One of my most fun clients is Meghan. When she and her son come to the studio, I have such a blast, and spend most of the session laughing, because she is such a hoot! Meghan worked with a young lady, Brittany, who everyone calls “The Princess”. I really think they should have had a TV show called the Princess and the Cajun!
Anyway, Brittany has a wonderful style, a cool twist on vintage clothing and will be opening her store at Heartland Mall on the 1st of April! It will be called Dazzling Divas! I have been in the store and OH MY COW! There is nothing like this in Brownwood! I am so excited for her!
When she posted on Facebook that she was opening the store, I had a fantastic idea and set up a meeting with her! We talked about some ideas and realized that we had very much the same idea! What we will be doing is using local Brownwood Texas women as the models! All the display photos are local ladies with amazing styles of their own, who will graciously model the clothing at Dazzling Divas!
Check back with the blog next week to see some sneak peeks!
Smooches!
